Who We Are

Named after our nation’s first national park, The Yellowstone Initiative aims to acquire and restore degraded lands in Wyoming. We restore Wyoming lands using Natural Climate Solutions, nature-based, sustainable, climate-additional, measurable, and equitable.

We utilize our veteran status for state and federal grants/programs to acquire these degraded lands, restore land and remove contaminations, and sell carbon credits.

I’m Joshua Fox, a Wyoming-based founder and U.S. Air Force veteran. I started The Yellowstone Initiative to turn underused acres into working climate solutions—projects that sequester carbon, restore habitat, and support local economies. My background in real estate operations and compliance helps me blend science, financing, and partnerships to get high-integrity results on the ground.
